PoC developed to demonstrate importance of orchestrated active testing and monitoring in 5G network slice deployments

Luleå, Sweden – 22 February 2017

Netrounds, a leading provider of active network analytics and programmable test and service assurance solutions for communications service providers (CSPs), today announced that the first demonstration of their new proof of concept (PoC), DevOps in Service Chains and 5G Network Slices, will occur at Mobile World Congress taking place in Barcelona February 27 to March 2, 2017.

The PoC has been developed by Netrounds in collaboration with Telenor, Intel, RIFT.io, and Arctos Labs, and features technology from Open Source MANO.

Event:              Mobile World Congress 2017

Dates:              February 27 – March 2

Venue:             Fira Gran Via, Barcelona

Location:         RIFT.io Stand, Hall 6, Booth 6J8

Achieving service agility and ensuring exceptional quality of experience are top goals for service providers, but with the rapid rate of change and the increasing complexity in dynamic, virtual network environments, how can service providers ensure that services will be delivered right the first time, every time? Visitors to the demonstration will see how:

  • NFV Orchestration is a critical enabler for automated active testing and monitoring of dynamic network services and for meeting critical SLAs in 5G network slice deployments.
  • Profitability of existing infrastructure investments may be enhanced by orchestrating optimal location to run VNFs and optimizing VNF performance.
  • DevOps approaches can be introduced to enable Automated, Active Assurance and ensure services are delivered right the first time.
